  1. We purchased three of the New Years autographed mystery pucks and got two Ruutu pucks. Anyone out there interested in trading?
  2. Nice! I figured that logo was going there after seeing it here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=67157
  3. Popped my photos (first time in two years) over in the photo thread: http://forums.carolinahurricanes.com/index...showtopic=19202
  4. My pleasure. Good to be back, even if only for a little while.
  5. You move to Melbourne, Australia and turn ALL of your new co-workers and friends into die-hard Canes fans who always want to know the outcome of every game and have learned the player's names.
  6. My thoughts exactly. The guys with the A's can handle it on the ice and in the locker room. They'll get it done.
  7. This really sucks. We need to stop playing Pittsburgh. Seems like we are always having players get bad injuries when we play them.
  8. Great shots! Glad to see everyone still sharing photos this season!
  9. I'm afriad I can't take that deal. Note my location. I'm in Australia. NC State tix wouldn't do me much good.
  10. I still have a lot of games left for Oct and Nov. See above for price info: Mon Oct 22, 2007 Canucks 7:00 PM Fri Oct 26, 2007 Canadiens 7:00 PM Mon Nov 5, 2007 Capitals 7:00 PM Thu Nov 8, 2007 Lightning 7:00 PM Fri Nov 16, 2007 Thrashers 7:00 PM Sat Nov 17, 2007 Panthers 7:00 PM Wed Nov 21, 2007 Flyers 7:00 PM Fri Nov 23, 2007 Lightning 7:00 PM Wed Nov 28, 2007 Flyers 7:00 PM Fri Nov 30, 2007 Capitals 7:00 PM
  11. Great to see the pix everyone. I'm already jealous of not being at the games!
  12. I'll 2nd that thought. To know that my two seats are sitting there empty (oddly no one wanted to buy them) and I'm able to see the game is not cool. I'd kill for a poor quality picture.
  13. Wish I did. I'm stuck listening to the idiots from north of the border.
  14. as painful as it is to not be sitting in my seats, at least having the radio feed online while i'm at work here in Australia is better than nothing. Go Canes!!!
  15. I share this thought. Cheer extra loud for those of us who can't be there. I'm hoping to be able to listen to it online as it will be 9am the next morning here.
  16. Last season I took my Canon 20d and 70-200 2.8 lens to every game. This is one of the white Canon lenses and I got in every time. Occasionally one of the front door security people would question it and make up their own rule of "that looks like a pro lens" or "I guess that's not too big, you're ok" The funny part is, unless they changed it, there are not any specific rules on the site about cameras. The rules are on the RBC center site and they just say that cameras (no video) are allowed for hockey and basketball and nothing else. No mention of detatchable lenses. No mention of size of lenses (which many sports do restrict). Now, I wouldn't go carrying a 300 2.8 or 400 2.8 beast into a game unless I had a press pass, but if anyone claims that your gear is "pro" simply tell them that you are a paying ticket holder and not being paid to take the photographs, therefore you are not a pro and neither is your equipment. Just because you bought some nice gear that pros happen to use doesn't mean that you're a pro.
  17. I'll reply to both recent replies here...Loving Australia, but now that hockey is starting it's going to be rough. The only hockey they have here is from May to August so I missed that already. I'm actually in Sydney right now on business. I prefer Melbourne, honestly. Heading to Brisbane tomorrow though. Now, on to the tickets...I'm not selling them in blocks of games (but you can get as many as you like) but I do want to sell them as a pair. I'm selling them for my cost plus $1 per ticket to simply cover the PayPal fees since that's the only way I can get paid. That brings it to $52 for the pair. Compared to $40 each at the gate, this is a good deal. I might have a taker on opening night at this point but I have a lot of games still left.
  18. Anyone get any pics this year? I'd have been there if wasn't in Australia already.
  19. Hey everyone, Just wanted to let you all know that the Mrs. and I (and the cat, actually) have all arrived safely in Melbourne. We've actually been here a week (the cat gets to spend 90 days in quarantine though) and all is going pretty well so far. It's winter here, but it's the nicest winter I've ever seen. Today was almost 70 degrees and sunny! I've already been wearing my Canes hats and t shirts with pride. The jersey's arrived safely as well so I'll look to get some photos of us wearing them in cool Aussie locations. Cheers!
  20. Give me just a few weeks and I'm sure I'll have some picks of me and Mrs. MattDoc with at least Canes hats (but we're taking the jerseys) once we're settled in Melbourne.
  21. Thanks for the kind words (to everyone, actually). And top on my list of things to do when I get down there is to check the toilet flush direction and report back. Of course, I must first make a note of which way it goes here.
  22. You will love 325. One of the best views in the third level.
