  1. Uhmm....maybe I don't understand what you're saying. How did anything this player said actually explain anything to you? What did you infer? It may not matter now that he's gone, but I'd still like to understand what you're even saying. It seems to me you're taking a completely innocuous statement and implying that it meant something else and then not sharing what you think it meant. It's a little frustrating.
  2. Not sure what you're trying to say. It doesn't sound like thats some kind of damning evidence. Maybe the player knew O'Sullivan was just here as a "back up" plan. Maybe you had to be there...And I suppose it doesn't matter anyway. He'll get a crack at having real minutes in Minnesota. I hope he does well there.
  3. New lines today from Forslund It might not be great, but it sure sounds much better
  4. I'm not sure where to ask this question, but can someone explain to me the difference between a turnover and a giveaway? All the talk about O'Sullivan makes me wonder. I watched him play in both games and I don't see all the horrible defensive play everyone is talking about. Others on the team have recorded giveaways (from NHL.com stats), guys like Bowman, Cole, Corvo, Jokinen, McBain, Pitkanen, Ruutu and Staal all have 2 giveaways each - everyone else, including O'Sullivan, have zero.
  5. Hey! Sheldon Souray [aka Big Sexy] is available.
  6. I think it's very inaccurate to not consider O'Sullivan a playmaker. He is a natural center. He's a terrific passer and sees the ice extremely well. He's a creative player. I think people sometimes will look at his stats or look at his previous performance with the Kings and Oilers and see that he shoots the puck a lot. But, I think it was mostly a lack of options. In my opinion, he's a true pure goal scorer. Meaning that he can see the best play and act accordingly, sometimes that means he himself shoots the puck but he also knows when his linemates have a better opportunity and a better angle. Problem with Kings/Edmonton there was no one to pass the puck to, no one ever around the net for him to create anything with...so, he did the only thing he could do, shoot. I expect he'll be shooting the puck a lot less this season. But, I also expect it will prove to be a good thing as I think his quality of shots will also improve - he won't just be flinging it on net like last season. Of course, I could be wrong about everything I just said, too. I've been wrong before.
  7. One of my friends just e-mailed me this old interview from O'Sullivan maybe you've seen it already but i thought it was really funny. My link I can't believe he lit his mother's couch on fire. How funny is that?
  8. How did O'Sullivan look? Anyone care to comment? I've been a fan of his for quite a while [don't believe everything Edmonton fans have to say about the guy, there's a lot more good than bad in his game].
