  1. I hate to see Sutter go, he is a great player and was always solid and consistent. However, I have faith in JR and Ron. They didn't just go out and do this on a whim, they wouldn't sacrifice Sutter for the sake of having Staal brothers play together. Only time will tell but in the end I say it's a good trade and will benefit the Hurricanes.
  2. All I can say is this was one of the best games I have ever witnessed. I am not just talking NHL, I mean any game I have ever seen played. The Hurricanes never gave up and in the end came out victorious. With all of the negative news about the economy and the state budget this win was certainly something to boost the sprits of the fans of the Hurricanes and should for all North Carolinians! Go Canes!
  3. omg! just saw this today! ty so much!
  4. I posted on a blog here early in the season that I felt Wesley was the most under rated player for the Canes and I still say he doesnt get his due. But look at the endurance and dedication of this guy and not to mention his contributions to the team. 1400 games is amazing in any sport and especially in such a physical game as hockey. Wesley sacrifices his body every game to block shots and puts forth the effort we would love all the Canes to do. Go Wesley and Go Canes!
  5. I have to say this year so far to me it is Wesley. It seems he has taken it up a notch this year and his experience on defense is second to none. Last year he seemed a little off his game but obviously he worked hard in the off season and has came back with a vengance. I can't think of anyone better at stopping shots or giving up their body for the team.
  6. I think it's a good move for the Canes. Barrasso was a great goalie and he played with alot of grit and determination. Hopefully he can pass his experiences on to our goalies.
  7. Love the new 10th Anniversary logo and jerseys! A must have for all Caniacs!
  8. I really was hoping the Pens would do better. However, they are a young team without alot of playoff experience. I truly believe they will be a force to be reckoned with next season.
  9. I'd love to see the Pens take this one and go further in the playoffs. They have a great young team led by veterans such as Gary Roberts and Mark Recchi. The city of Pittsburgh was on the verge of losing this team and finally sealed the deal as they should have. This is a great hockey city and team. Go PENS!
