  1. I salute the Canes for a great year in the face of so many man games lost. I'm proud to be a fan.
  2. I find it very hard to call missing the playoffs a colapse. Washington and Carolina were peaking at the same time. Only a couple of games decided the division. Losing to Florida on Friday was tought, but is wrong to label it a choke (IMO) because they had 46 shots to 17. I call that attacking the goal. It seems as though they had great chemistry on each line untill Whitney and Williams came back. Were they rushed? Not sure... This was just two good teams coming down to the wire in the division race. I salute the Caps, because they are a good team and I hope they do well in the playoffs. I find it hard to have any animosity towards them. I hope they destroy Philly.
  3. I think this would be terrible for the Canes to lose Cole. I wonder what his numbers would have been this season if Williams and Brind'amour had been the lineup all season. I think this same team next year can compete and contend with the basically the same team, but with some blueline tweaking and a new backup goalie.
  4. I agree John Grahame should go. I think part of his problem is he did not get enough game in a row to get any consistency. I also gree Tim Gleason should get an A. Sergei Samsonov has been one of the best pick ups for the Canes. I also think they Canes should consider rebuilding the blueline. I think youth in the front and the back will make this team a contender (at least for the playoffs) each year as long as Staal and Cole are here. To me, it is imperative to get a couple of guys on the blueline who just downright intimidate players. Not goon hockey, but physicality. I don't think that physicality was there against Florida on Friday.
