  1. Can I be a wee bit goofy for a second? How about you guys get LaLime? I really liked him here in Chicago this year, and think he has proven himself as a starter. He made I think 850,000 this year, and can probably be had for a little more. I think Samsonov found a home there. I am very happy for him. Ruutu, well, his agent is a little *edit*, and more then a few believe he is the reason Ruutu was dealt.
  2. I am thinking I am gonna try to make it out before the playoffs. I assume a playoff ticket would be hard to come by down there. It was nice putting a name to the face. Good to meet you. I just wish my Hawks would have gotten at least one goal.
  3. If anyone going wants to meet me, I will be in a white Blackhawks Ruutu jersey. I am gonna try to be there for the pre game skate, and I will be in the Hurricanes zone. Say howdy, I would love to put names to faces.
  4. It's funny 'cause it's true. Btw, K. and C. Adams will be together again. Eager went down with a shoulder injury last night, and K Adams is healed. I don't know how he can heal a torn ACL so fast, but I don't care. He is back. WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! I still miss Ruutu.
  5. I have a bit of a man crush on him.
  6. Now, if only I could convince my wife to let me go.......
  7. Damn it!!!! It may just be a road trip!!!!!
  8. This question has been tackled in the Hawks message boards.....alot. If you search around there, you could maybe find some info. Awwww, hell, I ain't doin' nuthin'. This might help, who knows.
  9. How many of you made it to the old Chicago Stadium? A full pipe organ built into the building. So loud, in fact, one time the old organist, Al Melgaard, blew out all the windows in the building. A tradition started in the late 80's early 90's of cheering the National anthem. It got really loud in there. It doesn't have the true deafening roar as being there live, but it will give you an idea. It isn't quite like that in the U.C., but it is comming back, and I am very happy.
  10. I am not sure it would work, though. I bet y'all are real quiet during the Anthem. And do you have Vienna Beef hot dogs?
  11. Dude, don't say that. I was laid off a little while ago, and have nothing but time right now. I do want to see Ruutie in his new surrondings.
  12. So far, Laddy with 2 goals, can't complain! And check this out. As I was leavin the U.C. tonight, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dude eyein' my jersey. He went into the office, and I thought" Nah, couldn't have been. Could it?" I made my wife wait with me for about an hour and a half and out he came. He was smilin the whole time as I thanked him for his time here, and told him I will be following his career. I also told him I want him back when we have a coach that knows how to use him. Thank you for letting him come back, if only for a short time.
  13. If I know Ruutu, he will do his damndest to play. That is the way he has always been, but I attribute a little bit of that to his experience here in Chicago. He had some good role models here. Lapointe is a great leader, and Toews, man, he is gonna be a great one as well. I told y'all you would like him.
  14. I was at the Hawks game last night, and while yes, most of us are gonna hold judgement on him untill he gets acclimated here, I did see good things. I think it is impressive that Savard(head coach) had him out there in the last minute of play, with the Hawks 2 players down, 6 on 4.
