  1. Based on the article in the news observer, it doesn't appear that DiPietro will be appearing in the near future In desperation, the Hurricanes offered Rick DiPietro an AHL tryout, and goalie coach Greg Stefan was in Grand Rapids, Mich., to watch his debut Wednesday. One word could suffice for Hurricanes coach Kirk Muller’s summary of Stefan’s appraisal: Rusty. If DiPietro can help, it won’t be soon. Go Pete Dawg!!
  3. Well at least we are getting an additional $5 parking fee for each one of the opposing teams fans that come to our games. No wait, they only charge you $15 if you have a Hurricanes jersey on....my bad
  4. Our team has many talented players! If you don't believe it, look at how they perform once they leave and go to another team (normally at a big expense to our organization). I seriously think that our problem lies with the upper management. Maybe they are not talented enough to hire people that are talented enough to maximize the potential of our players. The only common thread that our team has had the last few seasons is JR himself. Muller preached accountability when he was first hired. I haven't seen many instances that anyone was held accountable. As fired up as he was when he came in, has he been told to back off and not hold certain ones accountable maybe? I don't know, not pointing fingers, just finally throwing in my 2 cents worth after reading these boards for several years.
  5. I do not see what everyone else see's in Staal obviously. Maybe he led them to the Cup, I didn't follow it then. I do know that a Captain is supposed to lead by example. You shouldn't be able to look at him for 1 minute and tell if he is playing well or not. Staal acts like a spoiled brat when things don't go his way. I DO NOT see him leading this team for very long unless he changes his attitude.
