  1. [quote name='super-dave-1 wrote: Faceoff-ch1']Update: It was confirmed that Ladd left with an LBI. I imagine every time a player is not present or leaves practice early, there will be a trade rumor started... Leggy, Brunette Italian. Sounds like a good reason to me to leave practice early. We are going to drive ourselves crazy until something happens. It took me way too long to realize it meant Lower Body Injury so I'll be posting my shame to help out the others who may be like me.
  2. Title is a bit misleading. Had me thinking Staal was returning and that we may actually start to succeed. Don't scare me like that. I like our silent goal of finishing with more than 71 losses or less than 21 points. Let's pull a record out of this season. We already blew the 18 game no-win streak record once, let's get it going again.
  3. Patrick Eaves only made 1.4 million...that's nowhere near close 4 million?
  4. Legace is still free isn't he? He's make a good one season acquisition with a low cap hit. Or we could assume a classic JR move: anyone know if Gerber has an NHL-out clause? Even better, is Irbe too old to suit up? He can't be enjoying himself in Washington.
  5. http://nhlnumbers.com/ove...CAR&season=0910&expand=y NHL numbers has updated its readout from the 6.3 million average per season to an in depth description from year to year: 10/11 5.000 11/12 6.300 12/13 6.400 13/14 6.600 14/15 6.700 15/16 6.800
  6. Knowing our luck we're 9. Just because we started talking about how we're in the top 9.
  7. But did Francis ever iterate that in public? Because I don't remember anything like that.
  8. You don't ever sign a player and then trade him immediately. That's just terrible managing.
  9. I love the idea of the all rookie line except for one thing. They would get demolished by any physical presence. I actually started laughing while thinking about it. They're all 20 year old 180 pounders.
  10. You should be because all the UFAs will probably walk for more money. But have no fear because JR will bring them back before the end of the 2012 season.
  11. The best rule of thumb for looking at prospects is to ignore their stats because they're so misleading. There is no formula to translate statistics from juniors to minors to majors. Stats are nice and fun but they hardly mean anything. Look at LaRose's stats from the QMJHL, he almost averaged 2 points per game.
  12. Just want to chime in and say Pitkanen was considered a failure as a fourth overall pick until recently...
  13. I hope you're wrong. Keep it out in the middle of nowhere. I like being able to exit the arena in a reasonable amount of time. With trinity, wade, blue ridge, and edwards mill there is a ton of lanes to keep traffic moving.
  14. He was held off the scoreboard in a 3-1 loss but rebounded the following night with the only two goals of a 2-1 win on Wednesday. Awards: Old news: Hurricanes prospect Jamie McBain has been named one of the 10 finalists for the 2009 Hobey Baker Award given to the nation's top college hockey player. A junior defenseman at Wisconsin, McBain was named WCHA player of year. He has 36 points in 38 games (7 goals, 29 assists)
  15. Sorry JustJoe, I got tired of waiting for you to update so I went and found them all myself. Figured I might as well update while I'm at it.
