  1. finishing 15-4-2 would have us battling for that 8th spot
  2. [quote name='Faceoff-ch1 wrote: InvisibleCane']Actually, 13 games ago they were 17 points out of 8th place (and 8 points out of 14th). They are now 9 points out of 8th (and 6 ahead of 15th). So in the last 13 games they have almost made up half the ground to a play-off spot. And yet we managed to only jump over one team in the process. You can't look at the points without looking at the teams in front of us. sure you can. 8 points isnt significant to you? say we do the same thing in our next 13 games; now we are somewhere in 8th-10th place
  3. [quote name='Canesfanforever2006 wrote: canes-in-7 wrote: hurricanes1210']sorry, but just because hall plays on a better team does not make it fair to say that seguin is better. seguin might not have as much talent around him, so it makes sense that he practically does all the scoring on the team. hall on the other hand does equally good on a better team. i just think its unfair to say that someone is better because they play on a worse team. Agreed, many times easier to rack up the Points when you are the only good player .. and focus of the "O".. IMo that is why tourney's like the Jr's where all playing together and level competition is very importatn in evaluating these guys, see how they do when all competition is the same and see how they work with other players.. get a much better idea of skill sets, and rising to challeneges, than just points in smaller leagues where can easily domintae lesser opponenetsso i take it no one in here is doing the math , doing the statistics, forseeing the magnitude of diffrences between a player who contribute on his on to a team compared to one that only dose well if not okay when they are grouped with a lot of help .... wow, i knew some fans who thought some players were better then others in the past based on the sheer numbers of contribution to a teams tottal, but for everyone eles to ignore this simple state of fact and dismiss it to me seems like i have entered the twilight zone.... for the os rankings putting seguin a head of hall, for you guys it says nothing, for you guys to not see the diffrences among the two players in terms of statistics based off support for all around team gain , you guys dont see it. i dont know what eles to say well have you ever thought that maybe hall is so good that he makes his teammates better, thus inflating their stats as well? not to mention he plays on the wing, and generally centers get more points than a LW or RW might, yet hall still produces equally impressive, if not more impressive numbers than seguin. Great wingers dont come around too often, so i say take hall. i respect you're opinion, but i think you're not looking at the big picture.
  4. [quote name='remkin wrote: hurricanes1210']i like your plan. i was thinking the same thing. what top line winger do you have in mind? Now here I must admit a weakness. I really don't know who will be on the market next year. It would be interesting to see a list. I would like to see a legitimate first line winger even a middle of the pack points guy but proven production. If underated all the better (think 06 Stillman). how about frolov from LA. dont know if he is a FA at seasons end, but i like the guy

  7. on ruutu's third goal against dallas u can see staal skate up and congratulate him and but u can also see whitney shake his head at staal and give him a look like "come on, i was trying to get him the hat trick"
  8. to be honest, i didnt even notice cullen was playing last night. Good player, but idk if i want him centering my 2nd line
  9. I came across this today, and it made me smile.
  10. i was just thinking the same thing. I hate seeing them lose any game, but this year after every game i think to myself "well atleast we get taylor hall"
  11. true, but would you put him above staal or sutter next year?
