  1. We're apparently in talks with Vegas about Marcus Kruger.
  2. Hey folks, I have 2 extra tickets for Skate with the Canes on January 10th 2016. The tickets are General Admission for the Red Group. I paid $87.90 per ticket and that's my asking price. I can transfer the tickets through ticketmaster. Please contact me if you're interested. gejustin1868@gmail.com 508-274-2061 These are now gone.
  3. Made the trip to Raleigh for tomorrow's 1pm game. Does any know if there's a morning skate? I know most are at 1030, but I'm wondering about for afternoon games.
  4. I think someone on this board, I don't remember who, got it right when they suggested that Semin tries too hard to play the game his own way instead of playing the team game. He obviously has tremendous talent but I think that he has difficultly translating his game consistently to the American style. I just don't buy into the idea that he is lazy or doesn't care. I just think that no coach has quite figured out how to make it work consistently, and that Alex hasn't made the adjustments he needs to make to be more consistent. When someone figures it out, he is probably unstoppable.
  5. I neglected reading this topic for obvious reasons, but this post is fantastic.
  6. It is interesting, but to me this is certainly recognition of leadership in the room. I don't know much about Sekera off the ice, but he certainly leads by example on the ice, no question. Harrison and Hainsey don't necessarily do what Sekera does on the ice, but they both seem to be great locker room guys and are both willing to stick up for teammates on the ice. I think this is an interesting, but great choice.
  7. I'm sorry, but Niskanen can't be serious with this quote:
  8. http://www.nhl.com/ice/ziplookup.htm Looks like for Norfolk, TEAM NAME: REGIONAL NETWORK: Washington Capitals CSN-MA No Caps home games, I can live with that.
  9. Over the summer I moved to Norfolk, VA for a new job. I decided that I don't want to waste money on cable or satellite TV because I never really watch TV. I basically only have watched live sports or HBO for as long as I can remember. Instead, I've opted to spend extra money for a really solid internet package and was planning to buy NHL Game Center Live IF AND ONLY IF I can watch all of the Hurricanes games from Norfolk. I know that if you live in an area where Fox Sports is broadcast you cannot watch the Cane's broadcast on Game Center Live. It will be blacked out. Does anyone know if Norfolk is in their broadcast range? Can I watch the other team's broadcast if it is blacked out? Any information is greatly appreciated, and I hope that this is the appropriate forum for this topic. Thanks
  10. Did anyone else see how lazy E looked in the informal workout clip? Season's over....
  11. I'm in the camp that says we need to somehow slot Boychuk in the top 6. This is the perfect season to finally give him a legitimate look in a scoring role. He was supposed to be the guy for so many seasons and he always got buried on the 4th line and struggled to find consistency at the NHL level. Over the last 2 or 3 seasons he's taken some pretty big strides in terms of conditioning and found some consistency at the AHL level. I don't know how the lines fit together yet, but hopefully The Hammer does. Hopefully he can find a way to unlock Mr. Boychuk's potential for good.
  12. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/archive/index.php/t-162078.html Odds from 2006. So epic. Didn't mean to respond to such an old post, but I didn't even notice the date. Work has kept me pretty busy and away from the boards for the most part. It's probably for the best, the summer usually drags on when I'm sitting here waiting for the season to start.
  13. This is pretty much where I'm at. I think it's pretty clear that RF is giving everyone one more year to show what they're capable of. It's either going to work and the team will be successful or it will be the usual and he'll be in much better shape in terms of big contracts to make some significant moves. Not necessarily the most exciting thing for us fans, but it's probably the smartest move he could make.
