  1. I mean 1. That was way back in 2010 and I feel like he's somewhat learned from that and 2. I don't think the Thrashers ever had this deep of a prospect pool to play with
  2. I get everyone not wanting to mortgage the future but if we're being realistic we need to sell high on some of our prospects. If you look at our defensive prospects that have a realistic shot at being a solid NHL defenseman you've got Bean, Keane, Priskie, Mckeown and Kaski as of late. On top of Anttoni Honka (also were rumored to his brother with the Stars Julius Honka, we could circle back around in the off-season probably for cheap to "re-stock") and Sellgren developing pretty well in Europe. Thats gives you 7 d-man (potentially 8 with Julius Honka) and I'm no math expert but there's almost no way with that logjam all of them will play for the Canes. Why not trade a Bean if it means you can get a Dumba or another good D-man that makes you better why not go for. Theyre going to have to at somepoint or lose them for nothing.
  3. What if we made a low-key move. With the LA Kings coming to town what if we did something like CBS and Ottawa? With the Kings rebuilding maybe go after a guy like Tyler Toffoli, wouldn't cost as much as some of these other guys and he at least has next left on his contract. He adds a solid 3rd or 4th line help, he's been to the playoffs (won a Stanley Cup with the Kings), so he's been in a playoff push like we're in now. Plus while 12G and 15A stats aren't amazing, but last year had 47 points (24G and 23 A). Maybe a change of scenery and a being in a playoff race again could boost him kind of like Nino.
