  1. Well, there is a problem with the tickets. If you buy group tickets to the first game, you have to buy group tickets to another game during the season, so that is not going to work. Another option is to buy 150 400 level tickets in all you can eat suite. It seems similar to the Champions club at the RBC Center. If you would like to get in on those tickets, contact Ben Sugarman at the Washington Capitals ticket office. There is no minimum order, so you can call and pay on your own. I am not going to be able to make it anymore, but if you go, have fun!
  2. I am getting a group together for a road trip to DC. There is already a small army who say they are going. Tickets information is not yet available, but when I get it, I will let everyone know. I will post here, but you can also join the facebook page to get up to date information. https://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=247224598622460 Let's get a big group!!
  3. I want to personally thank all of the Caniacs for your support of the Hurricanes year after year! You are a big part of the reason that players want to come here to play. Also, thank you for your support of the Kids N' Community Foundation! I do not have all of the numbers, but I am pretty sure that more money was rasied this year than any other year. When there is a need, the Caniacs always step up! Take it easy and enjoy the off season. October and its 100 degree days will be here before you know it and next season is going to be awesome!

  8. Thanks for the comments everybody. I was going to update on here, but I was not feeling too hot. Just resting today and watching sports. I hope to be back at the RBC center soon! Thanks again!
  9. Thanks for the support everyone. The one thing that will help me out the most is prayers! Hopefully we will beat Edmonton so I can have good feelings going into Surgery Wednesday morning.
  10. Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be undergoing a vertical sleeve gastroectomy, a weight loss surgery. I want to let as many people know as possible. Some people try and keep it a secret, but not me. First of all I want to educate people about the surgery if it is something that they are interested in getting. Hopefully, it will also become obvious that I am doing something and the more people know ahead of time, the less questions I will have to answer. The reason that I have waited so long is that I always thought I would be able to do it on my own. I often lost lots of weight, but I always gained it back and more. I also used to think that surgery was the "easy way out" and all you had to do was get the surgery and the weight just comes off. Boy, was I wrong! There is a lot of work that you have to do or you not have any success at all. I started the process 2 years ago and it is finally becoming a reality. Prayers will be very appreciated!! I will be missing a few games in November, but hopefully I will be feeling well enough to attend them. My bad, meant to post in off-topic.
  11. Tickets are $30.00 each way on Southwest, but it is a 2 day sale! get em today! www.southwestairlines.com
  12. Here is who you need to contact for tickets. Tell him you are part of the Hurricanes group. Brad Gillispie 615-770-2114 bgillispie@@nashvilepredators.com You may start calling now and pay for tickets individually. Tell your friends too!
  13. Tickets are $58.00 each for Lower Level where the Canes shoot twice. Tickets will be ordered around October 15th. Everyone will be able to pay Nashville's ticket office directly and I will post that info when it comes time. I would love to get at least 50 Caniacs going. This is going to be awesome so gather your friends and reply to this thread so we can know how many people are going. Nashville fans are taking a road trip to Raleigh on November 20th, so let's return the favor a few weeks later! *The rest of this thread didn't make the transfer to the new board so here's the link to the rest of the posts: BigMike's road trip thread....part 1
  14. Good idea. JR, if you are reading this, can you please expense my trip. Thanks. LOL
  15. I was so excited when it was announced, but I did not expect it to cost that much. I thought about selling my motorcycle and buying another one next spring, but I guess that would be crazy. After it is over, I am going to wish that I had gone, but can't do it. There is still hope of winning the lottery!
