Brett Hedican celebrates his1000th game

Recommended Posts

Bret got a nice, albeit brief, ceremony before today's Ducks-Hawks game at Honda Center. About 30 minutes later, Kristy was interviewed by Ken French, the head honcho of Anaheim's publicity department, before the start of the second.

Gosh I was surprised by this-didnt even know he was playing for Anaheim....where have I been?????

Don't know, sc, but he's been getting good props from John Ahlers and Brian Hayward, the Ducks' TV announcers, for his buttery-smooth skating, intelligence on the ice, and leadership in the locker room. Bret's definitely been a boon to the Quackers.

And if you stand at the Ducks' goal during warmups and show Bret your jersey, C4LIFE91, I'm sure he'll appreciate your show of support :)

class act. hope this fact gets posted on the jumbo-tron so the fans can give him a standing-o

It probably will be, collie. The staff members who make RBC's Jumbtron rock keep on track of milestones, especially those regarding long-time local heroes such as Bret.

DUCKS' HEDICAN RETURNS TO CAROLINA

Posted by Curtis Zupke, Staff writer

Bret Hedican won't help but feel a certain tug inside when he steps onto the ice at RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C., on Sunday.

The venue and the city are where Hedican had his longest tenure with any one NHL team, a six-season stint with the Carolina Hurricanes highlighted by the 2006 Stanley Cup championship. Sunday marks his return.

"There's a lot of emotion going into that game,"
