Max,

Whats going on with the Rats this year? Is it because of missing guys like Bayda and Leighton? Is that killing them? I imagine when you lose the AHL goaltender of the year that kinda puts a kink in things. The stats for Peters and Manzato look OK.. around 3.00 GAA and around 90% saves.. the only thing missing is some wins... Are the Rats missing some offensive punch a'la the Canes this year?

Hope they get things turned around...

Well the goaltending has not been really that bad giving up about 2 or 3 goals a game it is just the kind of goals they are giving up. Very soft goals. Just like last week in that game we played against Hershey the game inwhich Bobby Hughes scored a goal with less then a second left. In the shootout Keith Aucoin was the shooter for Hershey and Justin Peters never moved on his shot. Just stood there and let the puck go right by him. Never made an attempt to stop the puck. Just very soft and bad goals they are giving up. As for the rest of the team like the coach said in these articles the just seem to want to stand around and watch the other teams play. Some games they will play well for 1 or 2 periods and just tottaly tank the other 1 or 2 periods. There passing is horrible. There shooting is just horrible. There PP is horrible. The only thing that seems to be going good right now is our PK. Most games it seems like 1 or 2 guys show up to play and the rest just want to sit in the stands. In our game lastnight the only one that looked like they wanted to play was Joe Jensen and he was a minus 3 in the game. Even Jerome Samson looked bad lastnight. After all the time I spent saying how good he has been for this team even he looked horrible lastnight. And almost forgot LaCouture was here.

That kinda sucks.. I hope LaCouture doesnt get down on himself with getting sent down to Albany.. he earned that contract, and I think we will need him again at some point back with the big club... hate to see him get into a funk.
