Lethbridge, AB - For over 60 minutes the Hurricanes went toe to toe with the number one team in the WHL before losing a heart breaker 3-2 in overtime to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night in Lethbridge. A packed house of 5336 was treated to a skillful display of goaltending by Juha Metsola who notched 46 saves on the evening as the Canes were able to hold a lead of 2-1 until midway through the third period. Zach Boychuk was a dominant player for the Canes tallying a goal and an assist while Carter Ashton netted the Hurricanes only other red lighter. For Ashton, the goal was his team leading 25th on the year as he continues his breakout season.
