Albany Halts Streaking Penguins

Albany opened up a 3-0 lead and held off a late Wilkes-Barre/Scranton rally to win its second straight game against an East Division opponent.

Jakub Petruzalek, Mike Angelidis and Brett Carson had the goals for Albany (13-17-3-2). Petruzalek's was his first in 10 games, while Carson netted his second of the season and first since Nov. 2, a span of 25 games, five of those spent in the NHL.

Justin Peters stopped the first 29 shots he faced and finished with 33 saves to earn his sixth win of the season.

Danny Richmond and Jean-Michel Daoust had the goals for WB-Scranton (21-12-1-1), which had its five-game win streak snapped. Adam Berkhoel stopped 17 of 20 shots.
