2009 Clear Day lists released

re: Tomas Pspisil - I got nothing...or mostly nothing.

He played for AHL Chicago and ECHL Gwinnett but I don't have him currently on either roster. He is from the Czech Republic, has 2 points and 14 penalty minutes in 31 games in chicago, played only once or twice in Gwinnett. Not sure why we signed him or if it's a error (the Rats clear day list is right above the Chicago one. Max is investigating further. I'm sure he'll let you know what he finds.

Rats Clear Day list

By Phil Janack

Thursday, March 12, 2009

Here is the list of 20 skaters and two goaltenders the River Rats submitted to the AHL by yesterday's 3 p.m. deadline.

Only the players on the Clear Day list are eligible to play for the rest of the season and the playoffs, barring an emergency situation due to injury, illness, recall or suspension. It also doesn't include any college or junior players on amateur tryouts, who can be added after their season is over.

For the complete list of all 29 teams, go to; http://theahl.com/news/league/index.html?article_id=9658

Daniel Manzato (G)

Justin Peters (G)

Mike Angelidis

Nicolas Blanchard

Casey Borer

Brett Carson

Nick Dodge

Pat Dwyer

Mark Flood

Trevor Gillies

Brad Herauf

Joe Jensen

Ryan McGinnis

Benn Olson

Jonathan Paiement

Jakub Petruzalek

Tomas Pospisil

Harrison Reed

Bryan Rodney

Jerome Samson

Brandon Sutter

Ryan Weston

Blanchard, Borer, Gillies, Jensen and Paiement are all injured. Borer is done for the year, Blanchard may be, also. Pospisil was added on loan from the AHL's Chicago Woves today (more on that in a later post). Sutter is the only player eligible to come down from the Carolina Hurricanes.
