Canes vs Lightning 2-1-2007

Recommended Posts

But let's face it... there wasn't much that happened that was shotworthy.

I'll 2nd that thought. I haven't gone thru my photos yet, but I honestly don't even remember lifting my camera much in the 3rd period.

Quite a bit of editing, so I'm a little behind the curve.

For you Rosie fans, there's a LaRoseSmash 5-shot sequence that's pretty neat. Also a couple of Caption Thread entries.

But let's face it... there wasn't much that happened that was shotworthy.

I like that Rosie sequence...I always think its so funny to watch him check into others, because he is so small

Funny... I shot quite a bit during the third. It was about all there was to do!

Well he always brings the whole load... but it's a small load. That was actually a pretty good hit, even if the photos don't do it justice.

As I said above, not much to choose from last night. Here's what I came home with:

Seems like there was a lot of that going around last night. Even the team photographer didn't have much material on the recap page.

Where were you sitting? Your angles look a lot like mine. Course I suppose anywhere in the 300's looks like that...

Edit: Now THIS is spooky!

http://picasaweb.google.com/mattdoc7/Feb1L...949269476021634

But based on where I know I was sitting, and the difference in angle... I'd put you in ... 326?

That's awesome! My shot was from my home away from home...section 325. There have been at least a half dozen times this season where I had essentially the same shot as the N&O shooter when he stands on the east concourse.

EDIT:

Example:

my shot from the other night:

Chris Seward's gallery from the N&O:

Look at photo number 10.

Almost the same shot, just a slightly different angle and crop.

Great pics. Was that last one of the scoreboard a little salt on the wound? j/k
Haha. I took a picture of your jumbotron when i was there back in early April of 2006. The Caps played that night and there were like 4 fights and the final score was 5-4 i believe. That was one of the best games i've ever attended in my life. The best ever was game 7 vs Calgary obviously.

Yeah, looks like Seward was a fraction of a second later on the trigger based on the position of the puck. But as fast as a hockey puck travels we're talking about milliseconds. I've gotten shots that were similar before, but the two I linked to here were freakin' identical! Except that I was sitting 4 sections south of you.

Great minds, as they say... But what were the odds that (a) we'd take the same shot and (B) both of us would post it? I don't know how Draconian your editing is, but what I posted was less than 10% of what I actually shot. So even though we took the same shot, what were the odds we'd both publish it independently?

Maybe Bill Hicks was right and we really are just one collective consciousness.

Wow, are you still arguing about that puck crossing the line? LOL  Khabibuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuulliinnnnn :P :P

I still remember that huge save Khabibulin made in game 7 with 5 minutes to go. I thought for sure that was going to be a goal. I then bought the Championship DVD and Gary Thorne said it th best "WHAT A SAVE KHABIBULIN! THAT MAY BE THE ONE"

Oh man i get goosebumps 8) :lol::D:):shock: :!: :mrgreen:

i say it was too close to call either way... yes... i am still upset over that b/c, if you look at it from my perspective, it could have been not only the game winning goal, but the Stanley Cup winning goal... so, you can understand my frustration. i actually have a pic of the 'non-goal' on my wall and get so .... sigh... well, i must say that it was a good seven games... good series Tampa! but, i still love my Flames to death... haha goosebumps eh? well, i get all sad and emotional when i watch tributes to the Flames... haha i'm a sap... just ask anyone!! haha but, like i said, good series and game 7 was crap by the Flames... you guys deserved that win... *gasps* i can't believe i just said that!! haha

PS - I sent you a PM!! :D

That's about the same for me. Usually around 10% or less. I took almost 300 shots total (a low number, actually) and posted 20.

Yeah, I shot about 500 and posted 47.

(And you know I've still never come close to running that 2Gb CF card out of space -- even shooting high-res format.)

Closest I ever came was on my safari. Never at a game. But I always have an extra 1gb in my pocket at the game, just in case.
