Scott Niedermayer causes fight with game winning stick

Recommended Posts

They were probably drunk, beer tends to bring out the worst in people @ sporting events and this is probably just another example. You can probably bet your life savings they (Ducks Franchise) won't be doing this sort of thing again.

But stillroll.giflaugh.gif, I got a good laugh out of that. Niedermayer pointed at the woman from behind the glass like "Do something!" I however would like to say that I hope nothing like this will ever happen @ the RBC.

... What is wrong with people in Southern California?

I'm back, folks, after a long absence. For those who don't know me, I'm a SoCal 'Canes' fan who also cheers for the two local NHL clubs: the Ducks and the Kings.

I know I have a bit of history here of taking things a wee bit too personally (*winks*), and totally own up to my foibles. Still, that piece of awfulness at Honda Center is far from representative from the kind, ultra-polite fans who've cheered for the Ducks for more than 15 years. As caniac97 and a few other folks here who met me at RBC in March '06 know already, I'm a SoCal who oozes politeness.

Couldn't agree more strongly, though, that the fracas was beyond egregious.

Quick update: Since the incident, every one of the fans at the glass waiting for sticks have become much mellower. That bit of ugliness is totally out of character from Ducks fans, whom I know first hand to be eager but polite to others at the games.

Sorry, but if Ruutu handed a stick to the guy next to me, I would be leaving with a stick or a broken nose, that's what I'm talking about. those are hockey fans, its time to bring the hooligans back.

Check your PM's please smile.gif
