Whaler1 Report post Posted August 26, 2011 Charlotte Checkers general manager and head coach Jeff Daniels announced today the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Chris Murray on a two-way American Hockey League contract. Doesn't look like he is someone we could get our hopes up for. Three years in the ECHL, seven years in the AHL and looks like one year contracts will all different teams. 6'2", 190lbs, Dman Played 52 games for the Albany Devils last year, had 1 goal, 7 assists and 183 PMs

Whaler1 Report post Posted August 27, 2011 That was my impression too since they didn't re-sign FitzGerald. Too bad AHL stat sheets don't show avg TOI, PP time and blocked shots etc. to get a better idea how versatile he might be or if he is merely a stay at home Dman. Either way, he still managed a +3.
