The Penguins announced Thursday that they have agreed to terms with Crosby on a 12-year contract extension worth $104.4 million.

One more concussion will make that deal look like a turd sandwich.

Jonathan Quick agreed to terms on a 10-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.Terms of deal were not disclosed.

What is with all these 10 year deals. They aren't all going to work out.

Looks like our old friend Lavi has found a home in Philly

CBS SPORTS- Details of the contract were of course not released other than the Flyers calling the deal a "multi-year extension." But Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports it's a two-year extension that will take effect after the final year of his current contract. Thus, Laviolette is signed for the next three seasons.

Kevin Kurz reports Igor Larionov, the agent for former NHL winger Sergei Samsonov, said his client would get a tryout contract with the San Jose Sharks.

Joe Haggarty reported via Twitter: “Just heard from Sergei Samsonov’s agent Neil Abbott. Theres been no deal w/Sharks as of yet. Theyre speaking w/several teams about Samsonov”.

Hope he gets a good chance with the sharks, not sure how much of a role he has on that team but if they are still looking to move a few people he could fill in.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Shane Doan is staying in the desert.

The Phoenix Coyotes' captain signed a four-year, US$21.2-million contract with the team on Friday, getting the deal in just before the NHL's expected lockout.
