PuckDaddy   Hockey player arrested for arson after burning love letters

Justin Agosta, a 25-year-old defenseman for the Florida Everbaldes of the ECHL, was upset with his girlfriend late last month. So upset that he took a stack of love letters, went outside, purchased some gasoline at a local gas station, doused the letters and set them ablaze.

Game Recap  By Bryce Wright

I know most of these players will never sniff the NHL but since they are now an exclusive Canes/Checkers affiliate I enjoy checking up on them from time to time. I'm most interested in their goalies this season.

Everblades Agree to Terms with Defenseman Chase Golightly
The 5-10, 180-pound blueliner joined the Everblades late last season after concluding his senior campaign at Robert Morris University where he recorded a career high 24 points (5g, 19a) in 39 games played. The Temecula, California native totaled 60 career points during his four-seasons with the Colonials from 2012-2016.

I just couldn't pass this one up. A defenseman named Chase and Golightly.  You gotta be a fan.

Everblades Name Brad Ralph Head Coach

Ralph, 35, brings six seasons of head coaching experience to the Everblades.  Ralph has amassed a career coaching record of 251-128-31. Last year, Ralph guided the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League (WHL) to a 48-20-4 record and a third round appearance in the playoffs.

Ralph becomes the fifth head coach in club history following the recent announcement that Greg Poss accepted a position with Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

It was also announced on Tuesday that Tad O’Had, who has served as the team’s assistant coach the past three seasons, has been promoted to associate head coach.
