The Carolina Hurricanes will host the second annual Hurricanes Summerfest – a mid-summer celebration of Canes hockey – from July 23-26 at PNC Arena. Hurricanes Summerfest will encompass the following:

Carolina Hurricanes Prospects Development Camp

The team’s Prospects Development Camp will see all of the Hurricanes’ 2014 draft class, other previously-drafted players and select invitees descend on Raleigh for a week of training. Prospects Development camp will begin on Monday, July 21, and fans will have access to exclusive coverage on CarolinHurricanes.com. Camp sessions will be open to the public beginning on Wednesday, July 23. A complete roster and a detailed camp schedule will be released in early July. The week will wrap up with a game and skills competition on Saturday at noon as part of the Hurricanes Summerfest celebration.

Most of the camp’s evening on-ice sessions will be open to the public at PNC Arena, with free parking and admission. Doors will open 15 minutes before the first scheduled session, and fans should park and enter via the East entrance of PNC Arena. Food and beverage will be available for cost and The Eye team store will be open. A detailed daily schedule will be released in the near future.

Hurricanes Summerfest Celebration: July 26

The Summerfest Celebration is set for Saturday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. at PNC Arena. The event will feature the final practice and skills session of Prospects Development Camp, an autograph session with the camp's participants and a State of the Hurricanes discussion. The Summerfest Celebration will also include over twenty interactive inflatables, games and experiences, free giveaways, guest speakers from the Hurricanes, appearances by Stormy and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad, discounted concessions, hockey games and extended hours for The Eye team store.

Parking and admission are free to the general public, and the majority of the event will be held inside PNC Arena, as activities will expand across the first level of the building and more!
The Summerfest Celebration will be the general public's first chance to view available seat locations for the 2014-15 season, which will kick off in October. Fans will have the opportunity to roam the seating bowls and pick out seats for full season ticket packages and 26-game plans.

Hurricanes Summerfest Hockey Clinics

Concurrently with Prospects Development Camp, the Carolina Hurricanes are set to host two youth hockey camps at PNC Arena in mid-July that will be the premiere experience for high level players. In addition, a coaches' clinic will be hosted at the end of the week for coaches of all levels of experience.

All camps will be held on NHL ice and will use NHL facilities at PNC Arena, the home of the Carolina Hurricanes.

In conjunction with Hurricanes Summerfest, the team will host a season ticket open house on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 through which fans can view seat locations available for the coming season. School Supply Drive

The Hurricanes are hosting a school supply drive to benefit Wake County Human Services and PLM Families Together. The drive will run from Monday, July 21 through the end of Summerfest on Saturday, July 26. Collection bins will be located at the VIP entrance of PNC Arena throughout the week during normal business hours (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) and during Select-a-Seat sessions. Bins will be also placed in the East Priority Lounge during Prospects Development Camp public practices and the Summerfest Celebration on July 26.

Wake County Human Services and PLM Families Together work with underserved children and help them live a happy, full life in a stable home. The school supply drive strives to ensure the children are sent to school in the fall with all of the supplies that are essential to their education.
