Join the Carolina Hurricanes for the 15th annual Caniac Carnival presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at PNC Arena on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014. The event offers free admission and parking, in addition to discounted food and beverage items.

The Caniac Carnival, which will take over the outside and inside of PNC Arena, will feature activities for fans of all ages, including a free Carolina Hurricanes Red-White scrimmage, an autograph session with Canes players, inflatable rides, interactive games and booths, a kid’s zone, sports area, live band, appearances by Stormy and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad and more! See below for a detailed activity schedule.

Outside of the arena, the Caniac Carnival will take over multiple parking lots. There will be over 50 inflatables, interactive displays and corporate partner booths, plus a beer garden and food trucks.

The Hurricanes Red-White scrimmage is general admission; all seats are open to the public, and a ticket is not required. Team rosters will be available as the event nears. The Red-White scrimmage is a great opportunity for long-time and first-time fans alike to see members of the 2014-15 Carolina Hurricanes in action!

An autograph session will be held leading up to the game, with all members of the Hurricanes scheduled to appear. This free event will be limited to the first 600 fans, and more details on the wristband process can be found in the FAQ below.

Before the team takes the ice, John Forslund, the Canes TV play-by-play analyst, will host a State of the Hurricanes discussion at 6:15 p.m.

Free cotton candy and popcorn will be available throughout the event. Hot dogs will be discounted at $1 each, and sodas will be available for $2 each. On the South Plaza, NC BBQ Company will be serving BBQ sandwiches and BBQ nachos at standard pricing. There will also be a beer garden where fans can sample and purchase beer. Food trucks at the event will be announced as they are added.

Thank you!  I do really want to get in this time.  Last time I was able to go, my daughter and I were next in line and a PNC employee told us that was it, no more where going through from us back.  We went to do something else and next thing I see, the people that were behind us were getting autographs, and the people behind them, and so on.  Apparently there was a miscommunication somewhere.  We were pretty bummed.

I wonder why they picked this time as well.  I feel bad for those that have to work and can't make it.   That's a long shift B-Cash!

I'll be there, at the Booster Club table.

Perhaps we'll meet you!  I'll just go up to everyone there and ask which one of you is dogbutler. lol

Just wanted to say my family and I had a lot of fun! Got my daughters small jersey and my wifes jersey signed (Cam made it out to her, she was very happy). We didn't get through all the tables (missed Eric and Gerbe) but it was a lot of fun. Got a nice sunburn on my face from waiting outside. My daughter will have a lot more fun when she's a bit older and can do the inflatables.

Hope they continue doing events like this!

I enjoy it, too.  Also, if you get time off during the week, hang out after practice at the Castle and RCI.  Most of the players are happy to sign an autograph or two(especially if you have the kids with you).

Hey dogbutler, I went to the booster table inside and the ladies there didn't know who you were by the name dogbutler. LOL

Our family is going to join the boosters. :)

My daughters and I had a great time at the Carnival.  Of course we had to go to Gerbe's table, (he is my youngest's favorite), even though she has already has his autograph two or three times!  The things I do for my kids. ;)  Had a nice little chuckle with Eric Staal, first time meeting him, nice guy.

We also made it to one other table, the one with Gleason.  Needless to say it was a long day, I was exhausted, but it was so worth it.

Great, thanks for the advice, forgive me but what/where are the Castle and RCI? Haven't been able to get to any practices, stupid job and all...

Sorry, I don't think they know my board name.  Next time ask for Chris.  and welcome to the Club!

RCI is Raleigh Center ice ,on Hodges St. off of Wake Forrest road.  "The Castle" aka Rod Brind'Amour's Castle is the PNC Center.
