remkin Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Sure didn't take too long for Skinner to get his bell rung. Did not look good skating to the bench on jello legs. Are you guys watching this somewhere? A PM would be appreciated if you are.

OBXer Report post Posted October 5, 2014 I just saw the replay of the Skinner pop. He looked a woozy
winger52 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 And our high powered offense is dominating again. 3 sog in first period. At least LaRose hasn't boarded anyone yet.
top-shelf-1 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Sounds like Niskanen got some pointers on cheap shots from his new criminal teammate, Brooks Orpik. Or did it look clean? I'd appreciate a PM too
coastal_caniac Report post Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Carolina Hurricanes - what a complete total bunch of woosies. A total cheap shot with a blindside elbow right to the jaw, nothing clean about it. Here is the hit. http://gfycat.com/MenacingJoyousJuliabutterfly Guys the game is on NHL Network. winger52 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) On NHL .com the television feed is on the scoreboard banner and on the Hurricanes site the feed is listed on game banner. If you click on upcoming games it will show the feed on the opponents banner. Edited October 5, 2014 by winger52
LakeLivin Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Skinner skated off wobbly after the hit to the head. Isn't that by definition a sign of concussion? Just hoping it's a minor one. What else can go wrong to start the year?

OBXer Report post Posted October 5, 2014 just hope this game is not a sign of things to come this season Always a concern but I wouldn't read too much into this game

top-shelf-1 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Always a concern but I wouldn't read too much into this game I think Trotz is trying to send an early, intimidating message. And so far it's working.
OBXer Report post Posted October 5, 2014 I think Trotz is trying to send an early, intimidating message. And so far it's working. Really this is a useless game IMO. Peters already knows who he is going to keep. A win means nothing and an injury means everything.

OBXer Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Getting embarrassed in the last preseason game isn't exactly meaningless if you ask me. absolutely right. Thats my point exactly. This is a meaningless game and so many bad things could and have happened. We should have never played this game. We have already played enough to find out what we needed to know. winger52 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) And Eric has 13 minutes on ice is -2 and a FO % of 38 . Edited October 5, 2014 by winger52
LakeLivin Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Win vs. loss doesn't mean much, but playing as badly as we are with close to the final roster doesn't leave me with a warm & fuzzy feeling.
coastal_caniac Report post Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Me either. Completely outplayed and out shot at both ends of the ice. The defense is an absolute dumpster fire. Goaltending is horrendous. And as usual, no response from anybody sticking up for a teammate. This isn't a meaningless game. It's the same BS creeping into the game from last year. And there's still a period left to get even worse. Grow a set and go out and play one decent period. Edited October 5, 2014 by coastal_caniac
LakeLivin Report post Posted October 5, 2014 coastal - I thought Es early elbowing penalty might have been in response to the Skinner hit . . .
