Australian Football League Grand Final Party (Friday Night - Downtown Raleigh)

Recommended Posts

I'm getting ready for hockey season to start, but bummed about Jordan Staal -- we wish him a good and 100% recovery.

If you are looking for some action - athletic action - come down to Woody's tonight -- it's got every thing you want - world class athletes and lots of body checking -- they even do one thing the same as hockey - but I'll keep that a secret...

The Grand Final is the Australian Football League's version of the Super Bowl-- Broadcast live at Woody's @ City Market 205 Wolfe St., Raleigh Hosted by the NC Tigers. The Party will begin around 11:00 p.m. TV coverage begins at 12:30 a.m. For more information: http://www.nctigers.com

The North Carolina Australian Football Club is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The club was organized in 1998 to teach, promote, and foster local, national, and international amateur sports competition through the sport of Australian Rules Football. Australian Rules Football, or 'footy' as it is colloquially known, is a physical contact sport unlike any sport played in America, but which combines best elements of ice hockey, basketball, soccer, and football to make for a fast paced, exciting and highly skilled game.

If you can't make it out for the game, set your DVR to the Fox Soccer Channel -- they will show the game live!
