Why am I surprised how quiet and well spoken Williams is.  He sure talks like a leader.

I just hope he can stay healthy.

I gotta admit that was the first thing I looked up when we started pitching his name. I was really surprised to see he's only missed 3 season games in 5 years. I'm not sure how you become more durable at an older age but I also hope it continues.

His knee ligaments should be spaghetti, hats off to the docs.

I posted this link in off-season but since much of the podcast is an interview with J. Willey I will post the link here too.

He's torn both the ACL and MCL in his left knee. TWICE. Once with the Flyers, then here. He returned three months later both times, from surgery that typically requires a four- to six-month rehab. Maybe the docs repaired them WITH spaghetti the second time?

He also returned from his pre-season 2008 torn right Achilles in 2-1/2 months, also typically a four- to six-month outage.

I know Timmy Gleason's toughness was just noted on another thread, but this is pretty special, too.
