What Happens In Vegas

Recommended Posts

You'd think probably not, especially since Fleury is out with a concussion and Vegas' other 2 goalies have a combined total of 3 NHL games between them. :o

I was thinking about Vegas more from this perspective: how deep must Vegas go with a nice record before one starts to take them seriously?  If they're still there after, say, 10 games? 20?  Half a season?  Or, is it a case where you (the collective "you", not OBXer :P) won't believe it until they actually do it?

Well two of their wins were vs. Arizona and Patrick O Sullivan commented that Boston played one of the worst games he's seen and only lost by one. Probably come back to Earth sooner than later. Quite possible too that teams are taking them too lightly.

Trouble on the Strip. Subban out 4-6 weeks

Vegas, which is without its No. 1 and No. 2 goalies after starter Marc-Andre Fleury was placed on injured reserve with a concussion on Oct. 15, is expected to recall a goalie from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League following their game on Sunday.

Vegas is 6-1-0 and second in the Pacific

Vegas' start is a great story. I just cannot imagine they keep it up though. Might be a good time to go to Vegas, watch a game and find a way to bet against them long term.

Since we’re desert ? themed here and because I don’t know what other header to put this under... congrats to the Yotes on their first win tonight! They maybe be the polar opposite of the Vegas team to the northwest but worth mentioning... bad taste for the Flyers I’m sure

I heard reports that Vegas' third goalie (Dansk) was out last night after slipping on the ice (gotta watch that slippery stuff!), and they had Maxime Legace finish the game in his first NHL action.  Legace had an 0.883 percentage in the AHL last year.  He is currently at 0.636 in the NHL.  :o

Amazing that the team has done so well this year.  They now start an East Coast trip.  I would LOVE to see them sweep our teams North of us.  However, not sure it is going to happen.  The air may be coming out of the balloon.

... in the form of not being able to keep a goaltender healthy.  Down to a '4th-string' goaltender...  i know i'd hate to be counting on Nedeljkovic and Booth as the 1-2 punch in Raleigh right now...

I wonder what the record is for the number of goalies used in a single season by one team.

Not sure, but I bet there's a good chance that the most number of goalies used in a month is 4. :P
