Why are we talking about starts in a game of this magnitude?

Because it's a team of guys that haven't been in this high of pressure in years and for quite a few if ever outside of juniors. You can say you know you gotta come out swinging but actually doing it takes some amount of experience imo.

So we were terrible huh?

At 5 on 5, the final 40: Shot attempts: 54-9 (85.7% CF) Scoring chances: 27-5 High danger attempts: 18-1 all Carolina

Doesn’t matter if ya only have 5 shots or 50, it matters how many go in. Canes were back to throwing stuff at the goalie just hoping it goes in. Bob isn’t that kind of Darling.

yep and CBJs 2 goals were thrown at the net too. Sometimes they go in. Sometimes they dont. We have faced bob before and hes looked disinterested. tonight he was interested. but this was not as bad as people made it. Defensively, they really played outstanding from the 2nd on and shut down this lethal offense everyone talks about. They just couldnt get a goal. Some shots were easy for him, but they did have some good chances.

Wow, people with their comments here unbelievable.  You are an idiot if you thought we would go 14-0 and this would be easy.  canes outshot them by a mile, most nights we win, bob was incredible tonight and  we lose.  It happens.  Not a big deal.  Lose against buffalo and we have a small problem.  Lose after that and playoffs slip away. Beating  Buffalo is all that matters now.

Calm down everyone.  It's not the end of the world.  Bobrovsky IS a two time Vezina Winner and he played like it last night.  He beat us last night, not Columbus.  So, it's not like he's a backup or a never was that shut us out.  Give credit where credit is due.  Move onto tonight's game.  Take care of Buffalo and the games on this 5 game homestand (which I always thought for a while would make or break this team in the playoff race; we do well we're in we don't we're not).  Just gotta keep plugging.

Also, even though we lost last night and are tied with Columbus we still have a game in hand against them.

We didn't do ourselves any favors last night but yes we are still above the cut. It was a game we were really never out of and never really in. Time to regroup and renew the quest.

Well said. Buffalo 🐃  is on the menu for dinner tonight. 9 straight wins vs the Slugs 🐌 will help.
