How big does this one loom? Pretty HUGE. It's not a must win, but it sure feels close to that.

As I wrote in those team records up there I realized it's been a long time that we can say near the end of the year that we are so solidly above real .500 at 42-35. May not seem that great, but in the NHL it's pretty good and for this franchise recently it's been unattainable.

But the prize for this team is playoffs at least, and despite an amazing run, it's far from certain. A win here helps a lot.

Philly is no slouch at above NHL .500 on the road, and just having beaten Toronto. That said, they have come off of their torrid pace and are beatable, and do not compare to Washington and Tampa, the teams we've recently lost to.

Can this team stay with the game they got to in their last loss to Washington? If so, the coach likes their chances. Or will they grip the stick?

And if they win, will there be a surge, or are they done with those? So much drama.

What an "interesting" spot to be in.  Win and we can jump to 3rd in the Division tomorrow.  Lose and we could drop out of a playoff spot today.  No pressure boys! :o:hotflash:

We can officially end the Flyer season with a win. They won't go down easy.

We haven't lost 3 games in a row since mid-December, and haven't lost 3 in regulation since the first week of December, so at the very least expect a point tonight, but we could really use 2 points today if only for our boys' confidence. Can't let those two losses to the Craps snowball into a losing streak to end the season.

I think Talbot is essentially playing for his NHL career today so look for another Vezina performance from an opposing goalie today...

I get the reaction, but if Wallmark corrals that rebound and takes it to the slot, he's got the whole right half of the net, because Talbot took himself out getting over.
