Or if J Williams returns, how's this for insane depth:

Turbo-Aho-Nino

Haula-Dzingel-Svech

Necas-Staal-JWilliams

Foegele-Walmark-Martinook

Seriously that 4th line could put up nice points.

Don't forget Mcginn.

Turtleneck makes another value signing, waiting out the UFA madness on July 1.  Great addition!!!

Can we now move away from any suggestion Dundon won't spend money?

I dunno but if TD does anymore great things we're gonna have to file a sexual misconduct report on BD58.

Some folks say they think Williams is done, this could also have been the signing that makes JW think it's worth coming back for one last huzzah.

Oh yeah. Really wondering about J Willy now. Maybe Martinook to center and Wallmark moves out. Maybe, perish the thought, my boy Necas doesn't make it?

I still wonder if this has any bearing on Williams. Also, I think Haula is more of a natural winger, so there is flexibility there at center.

Agreed, that's the winger option I was referring to.

looks like 2 forward spots to fight for between Wallmark, Foegs, Necas, Gauthier, or whoever takes it in camp.

First, holy crap Batman!!! That is a significant move. This guy may or may not have just had a career year, but he was a substantial name in the UFA pool. Further, he's a center, so not only is my last post just a minute ago outdated for Geekie, who now has a snowball's chance in heck, but Wallmark should start sweating.

This, and Huala, gets it done.

Does this mean J Williams might be leaning to retirement? I'd be more surprised about this with J Willy than sans J Willy. But if Williams does come back we are suddenly very very deep upfront.

This is GREAT.

The past few days I was thinking JW might be leaning towards retirement because the team had not done enough to warrant his return and any realistic chance to better last season's accomplishments.  If anything, I think this signing may be the incentive JW was looking for to return.  They have a lot of left wingers now, with Dzingel, Nino, Foegel, Martinook, Svech, and McGinn.  I think the last two switch over to the right side.  Hoping these changes bode well for the power play.

Don't leave Saku out of the picture.  With Ferland gone, I think he becomes a key player.

I believe Williams will retire.

Turbo-Aho-Nino

Paula-Dzingel-Svech

Mcginn-Staal-Gauthier

Foegele-Walmark-Martinook

Saku--The extra forward.

I believe Necas will be in Charlotte one more year.

What will be the bet? Heck they both could make the big team. I said Gauthier for his size.

Sounds good if i can figure where to find the icon. You are betting against a 69yr old. Not to tech savvy. LOL. I found it.

I agree with you on Necas.  I think JW will come back for one more season though, with a lineup of:

Svech-Aho-Turbo

Nino-Haula-Dzingel

Foegele-Staal-JW

Martinook-Wallmark-McGinn/Saku

It's a shame half the fanbase gave up on this team when the sky fell on the first day of free agency.  They'd really like this move.

And all of those additions without giving Pesce away. We now have enough to simply let things play out. No need for any big trades or UFA's. I think we're set. And ...... I like our group!

I think a Faulk trade might be reasonable; clear some cap space. Faulk for a decent full-time (1-way, NHL-er) 3rd line right-handed winger and a 3rd round pick or so...

Might as well pay up dude.  Westgarth played ruff......but he was a pylon.

You need to familiarize yourself more with Gauthier before making that kind of bet.

Westy was the last real enforcer this team had

Yeah, how could you?😅

Is Dzingel a center or wing?

If he’s a winger:

Dzingel, Aho, Teravainen

Niederreiter, Staal, Williams (if he chooses to sign and play another year)

Mcginn, Haula, Gibbons

Martinook, Wallmark, Foegele

I like the physical play of Saku.

Dzingel scored 90% of his goals playing left wing, but scores his goals off rushes and right in front of the net.  Actually, he's always in front of the net and is amazing at redirecting shots and his really nice hands in close, much like Skinner.

Yeah, that's why i went looking for the crow and found it. I familiar with Gauthier, I saw 10 or 12 Checker games this past season. I agree with you on Westgarth.
