We look like we’re skating in slush...completely sluggish

I'm not so sure they are sluggish right now, but seem to be making 1 too many passes and when shots are taken they are way wide.

Edmundson was on the puck side. Necas pinched down to Edmundson’s side. It wasn’t Pesce there on the right. Not sure which forward it was but I think it was Dzingel.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I actually think the whole team is having a case of the nerves, almost like they are doubting themselves.

Like they couldn't believe how good a start they had, and lost to CBJ and then to SJ and like it has shaken them and maybe they are thinking their hot start was a fluke and now maybe wondering if they aren't really as good as their start suggested.

I would have thought Staal would be vocal and a good Captain, but maybe not and with Martinook out and no Justin Williams...wonder if this team is lacking locker room leadership right now and losing confidence in themselves.

Hockey trivia - some teams use power plays as opportunities to score goals, being as they have more players on the ice than the other team.  I think the Hurricanes should give that concept some thought.
