So far the only canes prospects in it are

Jack  Drury for usa ,

Domink Bokk  for Germany

and lastly  Anttoni Honka  ,  Lenni Killnen  ,  and Patrik Puistola  for team Finland

any other players im missing ?

Also keep an eye out for   Yaroslav  Askarov   for team Russia   , he is  considered the best goalie in this years up coming draft .

Not sure if you're missing anyone, but those are mostly interesting prospects. I don't know much about the Finn Killinen, drafted #104. Apparently good size and very good skater with good hands. Not really breaking out, but upside there. He was ranked mostly 94-161, but central scouting had him #36. Hopefully our scouts and them saw something. So far very ho hum production.

Drury, our second rounder (2018)  has 10 games in as a sophomore at Harvard and is respectable at a ppg. He's around #8 for Sophomores in the NCAA in points per game, so not bad. Interestingly, Harvard is the #2 offense in the NCAA in goals per game. Also of some interest he was about #9 in NCAA for freshman forwards last year in ppg. Not bad for a guy that reportedly plays a tough, two-way game.

Bokk: a late first rounder 2018 and supposedly St Louis' second best prospect at the time, who we got along with "steady Eddie" for Faulk, has loads of skill, but at his stats this year in the SHL have been underwhelming with only 1 goal and 4 points in 23 games for his on loan to team in the SHL. One would hope he can have a bit of a breakout in the WJC. Germany, probably not a powerhouse, but Necas was still able to break out on the Czech team.

Puistola is also struggling in Finland bouncing around 3 different teams with numbers not much better than Bokk. This is another high upside higher risk draft pick, so guys like him need to show something at this tourney.

Honka is another high upside pick, but this time a D man with high upside. This is his second WJC, which is somewhat uncommon, as you have to get an invite really young the first time (and as a D man). He was really solid in a gold medal effort, but scored no points. His upside is offense (playmaking), and he's not a big guy, so it would be nice to see some points.

Maybe none of these guys are in our top 5, but with the possible exception of Killinen, these guys all have serious upside. And all except Drury could really use a great tourney. (OK, of course Drury could use a great tourney, but doesn't need one).

Puistola got 1+1 and Honka got an assist for Finland.

Askarov allowed 4 goals during 2 periods against Czechs and was pulled in the second intermission.

And I personally was surprised to see guy named Arthur Kaliyev playing for USA ))))

Appreciate the WJC updates. The Canes have drafted with an eye to high ceiling guys who dropped in the rankings. I wouldn't say that's Drury, but it's definitely Suzuki, Puistola, Reese, and Honka, and Bokk is a guy who has slid post draft enough that St Louis traded him to us.

All of those guys have major upside talent, but all have either slid back or been injured this year (except Drury who has been solid at Harvard and Rees was hitting it out of the park pre injury). So it is really great if any or all of them who are there have good tourneys. Good to see so far so good.

Puistola: 7 points in 3 games, #2 in tournament scoring.

Bokk: 5 points in 3 games, #10 in tournament scoring.

So far so good, let’s keep it going.

I pray  Puistolas  Development is not ruined  once he make his way to charlotte next year .

How exactly? Necas has had a much better start to his first season than Svech.

Who was ruined?

Well in the past there were predominate   players  that looked good  on paper    and once they got to the american league   their development was rushed and not got to the potential  that could of been .

I really hope the Canes hit another home run with Puistola.

Him and Bokk  have looked outstanding  .  Also i love the offense from Honka .   Drurys  2way game is coming along nicely too .

Hayden Fleury  .  is that good enough for you ?

Apples and oranges? Defenseman (known to take longer to develop) vs forward, so no and 1 example is not exactly convincing?
