We should hear tonight the player vote result on the effective 6 years extension.  All the people who have put feelers out say it is an easy done deal.

And it's approved.  3 posts.  Last time, 500 teeth grinding posts, dissecting every tiny line.

 It's true, bad news sells.

Great negotiation. Quietly went through and settled things. The moment was right for it, but they also got it done. It's quietly big news for hockey fans, but in the midst of everything else going on, just an "oh by the way" labor peace for 6 more years. It is funny though because if it was a looming strike and there was no covid weirdness going on, this would be big news. Good news though. But the bigger news: Got the post count up 25%!

Think of the wars and battles not fought, but quietly eliminated either through diplomacy or covert operations.  Not much news.   Shooting wars make news, and boy oh boy, the last few CBA negotiations were wars.

Really glad these guys got it done, both sides.

If we get out of the Covid mess, but it takes a few years, expect war 6 years from now.  Nobody will be happy if revenues crater for a few years.  But hopefully, in 6 years things will be back and everyone will be looking out for themselves.  I suspect that could get ugly.
