Fantastic Brian! It's nice for something positive to be coming their way. We all may *edit*, grip and moan, but it's only because we care about this team and KNOW of what they are capable -but no one knows that better than themselves.

It has to have been its own personal hell to be a Cane these months... win the Stanley Cup and then come back and.... well, a whole lot of disappointment. I'm sure that in their waking moments and in those moments in the dark before going to sleep, there was a lot of brain burning self examination.

It is good for them to know that come rain or shine, there are people that will support them for the long haul, not just day-to-day, depending on if they win or not.

We ain't goin' away, boys! You're stuck with us! We ARE family!

A friend just shared this with me, and I thought immediately about sharing this with you all. It pretty much sums up my philosophy about MOST of my fellow human beings, certainly my FRIENDS, and how I feel about the Canes. I think it's self explanatory, and I hope it gives something for each of you reading it to take to heart:

******************************************

$20.00

(Sometimes we just need to be reminded!)

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up

a $20.00 bill.

In the room of 200 people, he asked, "Who would like this

$20.00 bill??"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this

$20.00 to one of

you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple up

the $20.00 bill.

He then asked, "Who still wants it??" Still the hands were

up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this??" He dropped it on

the ground and

started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He

picked it up, now

crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants its??" he asked.

Still the hands

went into the air.

"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I

did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not

decrease in value.

It was still worth $20.00.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and

ground into the dirt

by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come

our way. We feel

as though we are worthless. But, no matter what has

happened or what will

happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean,

crumpled or finely

creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE

YOU!!! The worth of

our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by

WHO WE ARE!!! You

are special. Don't EVER forget it."

Remember the lives you touch, the hearts you speak to, and

the hope that you

can bring to others. Count your blessings, not your

problems

:D Best Wishes To You All ___Irish
