When did Wallin score an empty net goal in The Canes own goal?

Recommended Posts

Poor Wallin. It was pretty obvious what he was trying to do. He was trying to move the puck ahead past the ref and just didn't catch it on the other side, whoops! Those really funny though

I saw this link on youtube, the 10 greatest hockey bloopers and #6 or #5 was Wallin scoring an empty netter in the Canes onwn goal. Was that this year or last? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX5hQeD71ns''>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX5hQeD71ns' target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX5hQeD71ns[/post] What was the final outcome of the game?

It was early last season and the Canes ended up winning in a blow-out.

Wallin scored for the Caps the STANLEY CUP year on a delayed penalty against WSH. It turned out to be the Caps 2nd goal? The final was 7-2 Canes

Thanks for the replies, I was hoping it was not the deciding goal of the game, that would be terrible. Was the Stars vs Oilers blooper in the Stanley Cup playoffs one year. I remember seeing it on a pre game show last year before a Playoff game. There was a similar play where a player made a pass to a team mate and it goes off his skate into their own goal which ties the score and they end up losing in OT, forget the teams but I believe it was in the finals. Ouch! These clips made my son who is in a squirt league feel much better.

Haha...I still cna't blieve Patrick Stefan was anumber one overall pick, wow.

I'm surprised Roddy's goal in the dying moments of game 1 made the list but not the goal Brodeur let in against Anaheim in the 2003 Finals, man that goal was brutal, it was like a dump in.

Conklin's blooper was more significant, but I think that the bloopers are evaluated independently of their consequences.

If that's the case, then I think the player who does the one-timer into his own net should be number one.
