Canes Rumor Mill

Yes he does.

Interesting. If that's true then JR will give out NTC to anyone.

When Stillman was signed, we were the only team interested in him. Stillman has said so himself. Why on earth offer him a NTC. He would have signed regardless.

Stillman, family ready to take root with Carolina

RALEIGH -- While Cory Stillman was holding up his new Carolina Hurricanes No. 61 jersey for the cameras Tuesday morning, his wife, Mara, was putting a few more miles on a rental car somewhere in the Triangle.

Tuesday was the third day of the Stillman family's search for suitable housing, and if it has taken longer than Stillman expected, that's only because he's taking it so seriously.

The Hurricanes' first signing of the free-agent period, Stillman agreed to a three-year, $5.25 million contract last week. He was predisposed to come to Carolina after a conversation with former Hurricanes forward Gary Roberts, but the Canes cemented the deal by offering a no-trade clause. After being traded twice in his career and let go by the Tampa Bay Lightning last summer, Stillman quickly snapped up the offer.

Eklunds rumor mill..... Stillman for Matt Greene from the Oilers.....No idea who Matt Greene is. I just thought it was interesting since this is the first time I have heard Cory's name being mentioned.

I just spoke with Stillman at the Garner rink and he hasn't heard anything like this. He does have a NTC in his contract. Stillman was out practicing with his kid and running drills for the Jr. Canes.
