.....the habs fans don't seem to sound quite as excited about the whole thing, or is it just me?

Ya, I know what you mean. It might just be because they're not like, "Got the whole day off" "Won't be able to go to sleep tonight, so excited" "30 hours till game time!!" "Hockey season is finally here!!" Like we are. They're just like, "Yay!! Go Habs!!" and that's it...

Yes I must agree. Opening night beats Christmas any day in my book.

I know I'm not going to get any shut eye tonight....

24 1/2 hours....

I work retail, so Opening night is more fun and less stressful than Christmas. 21 hours, 47 minutes till the puck drops.

I sure wish I didn't have to work today. I would have to head on up to Raleigh for the pre-game skate and just make a day out of the whole thing. Oh well, I'll just sit here behind my desk and suffer until 5:00 today. :(

I am very excited about tonite. This is a way to open a season, playing one of the most famous sports franchises in the world. Not only does Montreal have the pedigree, but we have a history with them, knocking them out of the playoffs the last 2 times they qualified. Plus, we get to hear both the US and Canadian National Anthems. THIS IS HOCKEY!

The preseason has it's own amusing issues, but now it's for real. Finally! This games counts in the standings, and judging from the end of the season every game counts. Now we get to see if our offensive depth combined with a new and improved Cam Ward and an underated defense is for real. I would say, yes. GO CANES!!!

We're oing to have a banner year if we win every time KK sings the anthems & she's going to be singing them for the majourity of the home games, lol! I just got done listening to "O Canada" & our own Nat'l Anthem... again. :)
