yeah seriously no kidding. these guys are awesome. but add Pavelec to that list, as well as Labarberra. even though they ahvent been as stellar as Ellis and Leclaire, they have been amazing as well, esp with how young they are. but i think it really is a great thing that so many young, new goalies are breaking out. even brian elliot, although it was only one game, was stellar for Ottawa. And with the games I have seen him in person when he played for the UW Badgers, he will most likely continue to play VERY well, although he may not get much of a chance in Ottawa behind Gerber AND Emery.

alrighty, last night we had a few guys get 2-3 points. helped them out, but alot of others in the league also got many points, so it doesnt look that they got very far in the standings. as far as the team is concerned, we remain 6 points ahead of TB in the SE Division and 5 points behind Ottawa in the Eastern Conference. Still lead GF with 64, which is 6 ahead of Toronto. Still middle of the road with GA at 45. PP% is now 26.1%, which is now only 3.4% behind Montreal. Our PK% got a little help last night, although we remain at 27th with a 75.9%. Leader remains Columbus at 90.5% (San Jose at 90.4%)

wow if stillman hadnt had missed the first few games due to that car wreck (i think that was it) just think where all of our guys would be! its awesome to think he is second on our team in points even with the few games missing.

and yeah that goalie stat situation is really weird this year. i dont think anyone would have seen ellis and leclaire doing better than luongo and brodeur right now.

Since there were only 2 games last night, im not going to go through all the stats again until tomorrow after all the games tonight. But I will tell you all that:

Kane had another goal and assist

Zetterberg got an assist to take his streak to 17 games this season

Stastny had 2 goals and an assist

plus, the HAWKS BEAT THE WINGS!!! never would have guessed they would have been the team to do it. However, they are now 3-0 vs. the Red Wings this season.

How far is Whitney from the franchise record for longest scoring streak?

I know Cullen tied the longest streak for assists with 8 I believe.

Stillman up to 1st in Power Play Goals AND Points Per Game. He is playing an amazing game. SO happy for him. He is also tied for 4th in points with Brindy, 5th in goals, 5th in Power Play Points, 15th in assists, and 15th in +/-.

We are now 8 points up on Tampa Bay in the SE, only 3 points behind Ottawa in the EC, and 2 points behind Detroit overall. Of course, we have 1 game in hand on Detroit and Tampa Bay, and 2 games in hand on Ottawa, so take that as you will. We now have 10 GF more than Detroit, the next closest team to us in that category, and still middle of the pack in GA. SOMEHOW we stayed in 2nd on the PP% at 25.0%. Philly had a bad night, going 0-5 on the PP, so they did worse than us. We are now 4.5% behind Montreal on the PP. PK got more help, although still in 27th, we are up .6% to 76.5%, and San Jose is now in 1st at 90.9%

Grahame: 40th (2) tied with 3 players

We still have a 6-point lead on TB with 25 points, but they have a game in hand on us. We have a game in hand on Florida, and they are a whole 8 points back, so no worry there. 3 teams with 23 points (Rags, Flyers, Habs), so we need to step it up to stay in 2nd in the East behind Ottawa (now with 30 pts).

We still lead the league in GF with 69, but Toronto is close behind with 63, and Detroit with 61.

We are now 13th in the league in GA with 54, which happnes to be exactly midway between Toronto (74) and Ottawa (34).

We hold our PP% at 24.5%, which is now 5.1% behind Montreal at 29.6%. Philly is right behind us at 23.0%

We upped our PK% again, up to 77.5%. However, we are STILL in 27th on that. We need to move up another .7% to pass Los Angeles.

Whitney and Cullen both saw their point streaks come to and end. The most points in a row anyone has on the team right now is 1 (Hamilton, Larose, Grahame)

Here are the other stats:

We are still at the top of our division with 35 points. Atlanta and Tampa Bay have 29 points, so are basically 3 games behind us. Florida has 27 points. We have 2 games in hand on everyone in our Division, but that is still not enough for any of them to tie or pass us in the standings.

We are 3rd in the Conference behind New Jersey and Ottawa. NJ has 35 points as well, but have played 2 less games. Ottawa has 39 points in 28 games.

We are now 2nd in the league in GF with 98, and Detroit is right above us with 102. Ottawa has 92, and Tampa Bay, and Colorado have 91. However, we have 2 games in hand over Detroit and Colorado, 1 game in hand over Toronto, and 3 games in hand over Ottawa.

We jumped back up in GA this past week. We now have 94 which puts us at 27th in the league. San Jose leads the league with 65 and Toronto brings up the rear with 99.

Our PP was relatively good in the last week, for the most part. We no are 5th in the League at 22.0%. We went 3/12 in the last 3 games. Montreal leads the league at 24.1% and Edmonton brings up the rear at 11.4%.

Our PK was much better looking, although statistically the same, going 14/18. Although we got better statistically, rising from 75.0% to 75.3%, We are now back at the bottom of the league. HOWEVER you have to take into account the awesome job we did on the PK vs. the #1PP unit in the League the other night, esp on the 5-on-3.

Our last 10 we are again 4-6. At least we are really starting to turn things around in how we look. New Jersey is at 9-0-1, Detroit is 8-1-1, Buffalo is 7-3, and Pittsburgh is 7-2-1 in their last 10.

Thanks again ECUHockeyGuy. A nice, easy to look at summary.

Not to nitpick, but I THINK that 'a game in hand' means that someone has played fewer games than someone else (i.e. if we have played 35 games and TBL have played 34, they have a 'game in hand' on us).

Seriously though, thanks for putting all of the data in one place - I knew we had 4 players with more than 30 points (the only team that does :P ), but I didn't realize that JWilly was one the doorstep to make it 5.
