Cow Bells

Recommended Posts

COWBELLS MUST GO!!!! they are the most obnoxious things ever!

stop playing the SNL skit, its not funny anymore........

I second the motion on the cowbells & tinkerbells ... though by now I'm probably 14th or 15th. Off with the heads of the jumbotron people, too, - same ol' stuff game after game and much too childish with the sound-effect voices 98 times per game. Pre-game music painfully loud. And, no, it's not time to take Geritol.

I've posted this before, but unless they recently recinded the rules surrounding cowbells, they are actually on the RBC center's list of banned items. I was really surprised to see they'd made a comeback. Shows once again the arbitrary enforcing of the rules by security.

We had someone behind us the first couple of seasons we had tickets bring cowbells to every game and I can say they were just about the most annoying thing ever. They gave all of us a headache to the point that we finally had to wear earplugs to all the games.

We were so glad when he moved/gave up his seats and even happier when they were banished from the arena altogether.

I have no problem with people using cowbells as long as it is at the appropriate times I can understand getting angry if some guy is standing up the whole game with his cow bell trying to get on the jumbotron.

I say no more cowbell. That SNL skit was funny once, but now is about as funny as yelling "Play Freebird" at a concert. Leave the cowbells to the Buffalo fans. Its about their level still.

COWBELLS MUST GO!

Also, Friday night there were 2 guys in matching red suits sitting above the Bruins tunnell. Loved the suits, great spirit (although not as many style points as the two guys dressed like John Forslund.) But, 2 guys in red suits, you should have been escorted out when you tried to get the WAVE going in the third period! The Wave is even lamer than cowbells!

I like the wave every once in awhile. Maybe once a game in big games. I am still not sure on the cowbell thing. I bought one of the ones at the eye, but I am still not 100% sure if I like it or not. I do like the fact that it adds loudness to our arena. They need to stop playing that cowbell skit on the Jumbotron 8 times a game. Once a game is plenty for me.

Just my thoughts.

No matter what goes on at the game (or anywhere for that matter) somebody isn't going to like something. I don't like it when people try to walk by me when the puck is in play. I think the wave is about the lamest thing in the world and went out of style with Zubaz pants. I hate, and I mean hate, "Shoot it guy" and "Git it girl" (caniac97 trademarked "git it girl"). I don't like the kids who go pull on Dancing Granny when she gets up. I think once a game is enough for the SNL cowbell skit. I don't care for the Linda Craft House shuffle or the Moe's Family Feud (but those are sponsorships and bring in money). I don't like fans from opposing teams that wear sports gear from another sport and jump up to "pop" their Red Sox jersey when the Bruins score. I'm sure I could come up with plenty more.

I only ring the cowbell for goals and huge stops. You guys do away with all of my listed grievances and I'll do away with my cowbell.

By this point, who can say whether or not it is safe to get rid of the cowbell - you know what I mean. However, there is an instructional video on how to play the cowbell - do NOT attempt to bring a hammer into the RBC!

I like the wave only during a blowout win, makes it seem more festive. Once during a blowout loss maybe two years ago during a stop in play lots of wooos were chanted, sounded like an arena full of pidgeons, it was hyterical.
